Die-cut

The use of sharp steel rules (either on a flat-bed or rotary press) to cut shapes out of text sheets, cases, covers, cards, boxes, etc. This process can allow multiple pieces to be created in an efficient and uniform manner. Die-cutting usually refers to a clean, smooth cut in the material. While technically it could refer to both an entire cutting out of material or partial cutting of material, to differentiate we refer to partial cutting as “Kiss Cutting”.
